as part of the show β€˜In pursuit of freedom’.

‘Narratives of faith’ is a tribute to the brave-hearts of people of Gaza and act as a prism to shed a beautiful spectrum on the land of Palestine πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ. The southern tip of PalestineΒ touches the Red Sea basin at the Gulf of Aqabah. The geographical map of the state is such as if the sorrows and agonies all drain into the ‘Red’ Sea, resonating with the intensity of the colour red. With this concept, the narrated poem titled ‘The Red Sea’ brings to light the turmoil of the people of Palestine. At the same time, it poses questions of sorts to the people around the globe. To really rethink our purpose of existence and whether we are progressing or spiraling downwards.

The narration in video is poetry by Dr. Javeria Nabahat Amin with her 7 original oil paintings animated in sequence to create a 2.5D Animation. It was exhibited along with her two other artworks in Lok Virsa Museum, Islamabad as part of show ‘In pursuit of Freedom’ from 28th Oct – 4th Nov 2024. Mr. Nader K. Alturk, Consul General, of the Embassy of Palestine in Pakistan, graced the opening ceremony of the show.
